Responsibilities:

Level One:

Maintain artwork and due dates as assigned by the scheduler/coordinator.

Adjust customer supplied art to Berry specifications.

Follow instructions in Meta.

Prepare mock-ups as needed.

Produce proofs for internal and external customers.

Follow up on jobs that are “out for approval”

Keep digital files organized according to procedure.

Ability to communicate well with customers.

Cover for other artist when needed.

Take on special projects for other departments.

Basic knowledge of printing (dry offset, flexo, silkscreen)

Offer suggestions to improve workflow.

Consistently meet acceptable standard of quality and quantity.

Help department meet goals.

Attend and participate in Artist and Quality Meetings.

Demonstrate a teamwork attitude.

Maintain Housekeeping.

Abide by Berry’s attendance policy.

Be available 24/7 to troubleshoot jobs while on press.

Demonstrated competency in 1-2 Artist Skill Sets

Must consistently perform the duties of a Level Two artist for a period of 6 to 18 months before a promotion to the next level is considered.

 

Qualifications :

Degree in Graphics Arts and/or Printing Technology or equivalent in work experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple task simultaneously.

Extensive experience with Mac OSX and associated software with emphasis on Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.

Color vision within normal limits.

Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance (corrected or uncorrected) and a minimal near vision ability to read 10-12 point type at a distance of 12-18 inches.
