The University of Southern Indiana’s Facilities Operations and Planning department is seeking an Interior Designer/Project Manager Intern to assist the University Architect, Facilities Director, University customers, and outside design firms with the interior design portion of renovation projects of various sizes, coordinate and manage interior projects from creation to completion of renovation, update and create CAD drawings of interior spaces and assist with interior signage replacement.

This position will have the opportunity to take part in major design and construction projects including the design and renovation of the Physical Activities Center, construction of the Conference Center and Housing renovations.

Applicants must be currently enrolled and have completed two years of classes as an Interior Design Major or Minor at an accredited college. Knowledge of modern principles and practices of interior design, architecture, construction methods and materials and training in architectural drafting is required. Proficiency in CAD is preferred.
