I believe I have seen Red Rock West 4 times! Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2011. This movie takes you on a ride with so many bumps and twists! Does not play on my Blu Ray player. This one is a goodie! "Red Rock West" is a very, very quirky film, which never steps outside the bounds of hard reality. RRW delivers all these and more. It shows range by Nicolas Cage that is simply brilliant!
I am stuck with a useless DVD, and will not get reimbursed. This is one of my favorite (small) Nicholas Cage films. Dwight Yoakim as a truck driver showed pretty cool acting skills If you like quirky independent films, and especially if you like Nic Cage, this is for you! A must watch. There are no special effects here. It stars Nicolas Cage, Dennis Hopper, Lara Flynn Boyle, J. T. Walsh and Timothy Carhart. Who has the upper-hand at any given moment shifts around, but other than Cage, it's topsy turvey over the motives of the married couple, and exactly what Hopper will settle for. It has nice plot twists that make it one enjoyable ride. This movie takes you on a ride with so many bumps and twists! All you need is a smart script, good actors and loads of atmosphere. The plot involves mistaken identity and crazy coincidences that make this a compelling noir film.

The plot is the same/very similar as seen in any number of films from the 90's. From the author of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, an intoxicating, hypnotic new novel set in a dreamlike alternative reality.
It’s a film that you don’t have to do a great deal of thinking about, the basic plot is pretty simple, but the plot turns in some interesting ways, the acting is top class from Nicolas Cage, Dennis Hopper and the rest of the cast, and there is some good music in the soundtrack. It shows range by Nicolas Cage that is simply brilliant! I can not say a damn thing about the story because the fun of this movie is not knowing what is going to happen next. The moral of the story may be that if your a down-on-your-luck drifter passing through Texas, you might want to think twice about any easy jobs that seem to fall into your lap.
