I had heard this was great but it went beyond my expectations. The directors have included lot of stuff in this movie which makes it interesting, unpredictable & spooky. The problem is that that ambition is its very downfall, causing its lack of focus and uneven pacing.
The two main characters are great and super believable as friends, and Zahn McLarnon is always a great bit player to have. 2012

Reason being it was more than obvious it was an extremely low budget film hence the crappy look and feel of the film and the belligerent junkie was particularly annoying.. until we get to know him!
I absolutely love Resolution for its ambition. This film moves pretty slowly, so if you aren’t a fan of the indie/mumblecore genre, it's probably not for you, but the story does build in its mystery, and the answers are ultimately pretty interesting and satisfying in a meta manner.
