Although some of his games aren't bad, his monologues are weak...but nowhere near as bad as Letterman's, whose monologues and humor are about as dry as a desert. Jimmy Fallon has a modicum of talent and can pull off some funny bits but hosting the 60 minute TONIGHT SHOW 5 nights a week is obviously more than he can handle.
Fallon is that kind of a friend who always needs to have the last word on everything. They all like and comment on each other's comments to hype each other up like any good following would. He has long relationships with Jimmy Fallon and Lorne Michaels.
We never could understand that. I can't imagine what has happened to Jimmy. Steve Higgins (born August 13, 1963) is an American writer, producer, announcer, actor, and comedian. Who's funny? what is with the crap about reading those annoying cards?

Part of me wants to see him do shows from home on a regular basis, even as Late Night moves back into the studio. All you have to do is click on one of these negative reviewers profiles for this show or pretty much any show with people of color and I guarantee you that 95% of their negative reviews are for shows with diversity! Kimmel isn't bad, but could be better.
If you watch the 2nd half there is a real long string of commercials. There he played with Gruber, also his brother Dave. He's really in-tune with people and having conversations with them, he's a really good host. Meyers, for one, switched locations to his mother-in-law’s house for last night’s show, but he continues to delight in the humor that recording alone in an attic or guest room can bring. Let me start out with saying that I have been a long time watcher of all late night talk shows and consider my self an aficionado in the topic.
Like I said, it might be better if the sidekick is removed or replaced. The Tonight Show needs an overhaul! Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel, David Letterman, Stephen Colbert... even the watered down version of Conan Obrien on TBS is still funnier than the comedy bereft Fallon. He's an okay, decent human being but I don't want to be around him for ten minutes. I agree with the reviewer who said something like: this is a teenager in a 39 year old's body. I am so sick and tired of his crummy comedy routines and poor monologue. I've accidentally tuned into his version of the Tonight Show just because I was already watching NBC, and just shocked at how unfunny he is. The shows host acts like a drunk frat boy and his sidekick (Steve Higgins) is weird & not funny. Even worse than Leno, is NBC allergic to real late night comedy? It might be better without the loud mouth, obnoxious side kick. He doesn't engage very well with guests on the show; the silly games are not a substitute for either serious or comic interaction with those appearing on the show. I do still wonder how the writing of the show is going – if the writers are still working from home, or if they’re assembled in the Tonight Show offices but adhering to safety protocols. Monologues are corny and the skits are just horrific. I love all the funny games he has them play. Jimmy Fallon is not funny! The first late night show to return to its studio is, fittingly, The Tonight Show. He would be great if he can just stop talking all the time. Trumpers spews their hate in droves! Understand that a younger guy is supposed to appeal to a younger audience but the incessant giggling/shouting/screaming/hiding under the desk makes it unlikely that he will ever graduate from the third grade. He remains a SNL writer while also being Fallon's announcer/sidekick.
