This is an amazing book that details, (from subtitle) "The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior". This book had so many new revelations and developments. This idea on p. 108 has transformed the way I see motivation and how to inspire my children. Every book is about the interaction between Joe and Skippy, and this book is no different. It starts a bit slow but then after a couple of chapters it really picks up and unveils absolutely fascinating research on different levels of human consciousness. Having read some of the work of Noam Chomsky, and having become sensitive to what he called "institutional blindness," it was interesting recognize it in a fairly typical fashion in, of all places, a self-help book. I did not read it in sequential order, which the author advises in his foreword, and found that to be a revolutionary way to let my spirit guide my learning. Most of us (85%) are below 200 because we focus on survival and are preoccupied with negative thoughts and feelings.
Dr David R. Hawkins provides the certainty that there is truth; immovable unspinnable and accessible to us all using scientific principles. Fortunately for us, he wrapped everything into one, cohesive story, closing various plot threads and leaving the reader with a smile on his or her face. I continue to be amazed by Craig Alanson's imagination. Dr. David R. Hawkins encompasses particle physics, nonlinear dynamics, chaos theory, and his own discoveries about the nature and accessibility of truth. I think, however, the desire to back up the theory and prove it all true through Applied Kinesiology, and a 1-1000 logrithimic based scale, etc.
The world building is well planned, at least. Why yes, because R. C. Bray is a freaking master at creating these characters and I feel like I know them all personally. However, the way things play out I am uncertain how Craig will get 4 more books out of the Merry Band of Pirates and Skippy, the semi-magnificent. It's also the most complete book. Things kind of came tog. Craig could have taken an easy out and stretched this book into two, or he could have left the last little bit unfinished. I'm in the military, I used to think the same way/have the same question. I would give this book 6 stars if I could...10 even! There's also a new country called Liberland that will be the first experiment with little to no government or FORCE used to influence people. The arc of Book 10, just as with each of the books in this series, has a familiar feel, but it still hasn’t grown long in the tooth. He is even fantastic at portraying the female characters. I was very afraid it was to be the first option, mostly due to my mild disappointment with the "Freefall" spin-off book and worry that the author's motivation and imagination were affected with the corona. Power is much stronger than force., but 85% of people life by force - fear, anger, shame, guilt, apathy, desire, pride - all these are negative and weaken us.

Let's be honest, after how Valkyrie (the previous instalment of the series) ended, this book was very eagerly awaited amongst the majority of the series' fans.

If you love the fantasy genre, this is the season for you! What is real power and how do we know when something is true or real? It was a faster read this way, my mind never strayed, and for those of us who require scientific rhetoric to explain spiritual experiences this novel rises to the occasion without reading like an outdated textbook. It discusses differences in "spirituality" vs. "religion" and discusses certain events in history (courtesy of hindsight, I might add)and how they "tested" to be good or bad. And if you haven’t read the whole series, go get Book 1 now and be thrilled for the many hours of reading/listening. Force is coercive and creates an automatic counterforce. Just voluntary transactions. Alanson covered a lot here - and many characters grew and changed. Whether you agree with everything he says or not, it can be a very thought-provoking book. I was fine with that as there was a lot of heavy lifting to be done and it was entertaining. A different book then I have ever read, yet one with wisdom and a way to determine truth by using muscle testing. Fortunately for us, he wrapped everything into one, cohesive story, closing various plot threads and leaving the reader with a smile on his or her face. * The rating does not reflect the true value of this book and is the outcome of two vectors: There are lots of things to like about this book, especially the fresh perspective being offered on matters that have been written about before by so many people with so many different views. I do agree with Dr. Hawkins that everything is interconnected, and that the outcomes we all come to know can be and probably are influenced by things nobody realizes. Only the rarest individuals in history have reached the fully enlightened spot (e.g., Jesus, Buddha, Krishna) where time is timeless and dimensionless, and existence is continuous and beyond duality, and where divinity is experienced within. Power Versus Force may be the most acute study of the levels of consciousness. Our ends know our beginnings, but the reverse isn’t true … As I like to say, we can all use less "nega-thought" and more "posi-though. Meaning? Dr. Hawkins is a master of science and spirituality, which is too rare of a combination. Looking forward to the next book! I can't wait to see where this story goes from here because shit is getting real. Let me just say that, after the cliffhanger at the end of book nine, I was not sure how Craig could redeem himself for making we, the readers/listeners, wait as long as we had to. Brilliant book. The journey of some of Power's most controversial characters. Plus the clarity of the writing is very good, given the complex topic being discussed. It reminds me of how I felt as a child watching Star Trek with my dad and seeing Picard and the gang romping around the galaxy on adventures.

My absolute favorite in the series so far. , At the time of reading this book I appreciate the overall positive ideas and am glad to have had the exposure to all the various concepts and ideas mentioned in the book - especially the informaiton about the great organization Alcoholics Anonomous and various scientific concepts and theories - good karma there. It supposedly proves that you can tell the truth of something by how much resistance your body puts up ("applied kinesiology") when someone asks you a yes or no question. Power is quiet and requires no explanation. (There are supposed to be a total of 14 printed books in this series).
It focuses primarily on defining power (which is intrinsically good and destined to succeed) and force (which is intrinsically "bad" and destined for failure). The last 10% of the book had me yelling out loud and laughing because I have waited 10 books for that moment. Well worth picking up for any fan of the series. This book took my stagnant lens and turned it around and around until I found myself viewing a world I had glazed over with mis-creatio. Yes, you may find this book on the self help shelves (shudder! It is engaging to peek into the psychology, both conscious and subconscious, of the underlying behavior patterns and choices made throughout life. I was so afraid of where this story was heading after the way the previous book ended. For the first time, I finished the book feeling utterly and completely satisfied. This is an evergreen piece of material that people will be as fascinated a 100 years from now as I was reading it in today's time. The audiobooks of this series are fantastic, and I enjoy every discussion between Joe and Skippy. His writing style was quite academic which left more to be desired and certainly many lay readers would find off-putting. I read this book years ago.
