Goals: Kaniva Leeor – M. Wundke 5, C. Hitchcock 4, N. Murphy 2, A. PADTHAWAY 14-8 92 COMFORTABLE WINNERS OVER NARACOORTE 9-9 63, Best: Bordertown – Bradley Paech, Reagan Tink, Brent Shuttleworth, Rory Tink, Lachlan Makin, Tyson Leigh.

Naracoorte v Borders will be a very keenly fought game with Borders getting a first round win and Naracoorte disappointing after having a promising pre-season. George Johnson, McDonough and Wil McMurray were heavily involved for Keith whether defending or attacking and Border Districts were struggling to make any impact as Keith clung tenaciously to the lead in the second quarter. Coach Nic Murphy was in good form for KLU and had strong support from Jarred and Dodson. All five games could go either way in a fascinating final round of KNTFL football this Saturday. Penola – S. Berkefeld 2, L. Walker 2, B. Merrett, M. Merrett, S. Merrett, G. Merrett, Best:   Kaniva Leeor – A. MUNDULLA 15-13 103 EASILY KINGSTON 10-5 65. Naracoorte looking to extend their winning sequence to eight started in great fashion to lead Border Districts by 16 points at quarter time. Lucindale, heavily reliant on Tom Logan so far this season now found other avenues to goal with Sam Graetz and Sam Mardling stepping up. Mundulla eased up in the last quarter but still won by 49 points to remain on top of the ladder. On-baller Scott and defender Archie Longbottom were starring for Padthaway who eased up at the finish to win by 70 points. Kyby – B. Munn 3, S. Shepherd 2, T. Cooper 2, B. Castine, K. Rodgers, Best:  Naracoorte – A. Lucindale now had an uphill battle as its key forwards were blanketed and McGrice and Mosey continued to give the defence a hard-time. In this case the match will link to the original grade. It might be a KLU win to start the year.

Lucindale can stay in touch with the top sides with a win over struggling Kybybolite, while Padthaway v Bordertown will be an even contest with both sides looking to remain on the fringe of the top five. Mundulla broke the stifling play of Bordertown in the last quarter when they added three goals to one to run out winners. Mundulla continued to struggle for goals and it was the midfielders in McGrice and McIntyre who got them. Goals: Bordertown – J. Barras 8, J. Searle 2, S. Devitt 2, G. Twigden 2, N. Hampel, T. Underwood. KLU – A.

McGrice and Gregurke were doing plenty of work for Mundulla but the Naracoorte defence led by Sid Patterson and Bettoncelli held them up repeatedly and the Demons still led by 22 points at the last change. Keith have not made many good starts this season but they chose a good day for one and raced to a 24 point lead by quarter time. Best: Padthaway – J. Scott, J. Vandermeer, A. Longbottom, D. Obst, L. Harder, T. Redigolo. All four of those teams will want to win to keep their spots in the top five, with Padthaway particularly keen having dropped out of the five with two losses in a row. Borders – H. Pretlove 2, F. Adams 2, B. Helyar, O. Gabbe, S. Mansell, Z. Edwards. Kybybolite – K. Rodgers 3, F. Hill, J. Bittner, Best:  Keith – W. Schreiber, J. Jones, B. Woodall, S. Schreiber, L. Johnson, M. McDonough. Keith hit back strongly in the second term as KLU went goal-less. The consistent Fisher with 6 goals stood out for Kingston. The last quarter was a non-event as Keith had the game in their keeping and went on to win by 50 points. They had many more good players and a good forward target in Mansell who booted six goals whereas Bordertown had battlers only. Kingston led at every change in a lack-lustre game and finally won by 21 points.

Best: Penola – S. Merrett, B. Bryant, M. Merrett, S. Berkefeld, H. Porter, S. Klemm. Nic Mosey is also a threat to Lucindale, whose defence  battled hard to contain the Mundulla forward moves. Goals: Borders – E. Holland 3, J. Helyar 2, S. Mansell 2, M. Quinn 2, B. Helyar 2, R. Oliver, H. Pretlove. Hinge 2, H. Thorpe 2, N. Gregurke, J. McGrice, B. Douglas, L. Wiese. Adam Merrett was pivotal in Penola’s fightback and booted six goals but it wasn’t enough. KLU – C. Hitchcock, A. MUNDULLA 9-18 72 BY THE NARROWEST MARGIN, KYBYBOLITE 10-11 71. Marys¬ER÷Round 15¬RW÷0¬AX÷0¬BX÷-1¬WQ÷¬WM÷STM¬AE÷St. Kingston fought on to the end but KLU were too good. PENOLA 10-11 71 OUTLASTED BORDER DISTRICTS 8-11 59.

Goals: Naracoorte – S. Willson 5, M. Gill 3, W. Walker 2, B. Mitchell, R. Palma, S. Gurney, J. Reeves, Z. Walker, C. Gill, D. Myall. Borders again lifted and Naracoorte started to fade under the onslaught when Borders booted five unanswered goals and run over Naracoorte at the finish.

PADTHAWAY INFLICT FIRST LOSS ON TOP TEAM PENOLA. Hinge, E. Jaeschke, N. Mosey, D. King. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, Border Districts and Lucindale are both one win behind the leading pack and a loss would put them another win plus percentage outside the top five. Kingston – H. Wright 2, T. Baker 2, B. Kennedy, D. Richardson, S. Robertson, The Naracoorte Herald Previews Round Seven. The Naracoorte forwards had their own problems as Tregoweth and Menz blocked most attacks with strong defence by restricting Naracoorte to just one goal for the second term and the margin had extended to 37 points.

MUNDULLA 13.15 (93) WIN AWAY AT BORDERTOWN 6.12 (48), Best: Mundulla – E. Jaeschke, D. Noll, N. Mosey, J. Showing their best form in ages Bordertown outplayed Border Districts early and raced to a 21 point lead with Josh Barras, Butler and Cam Sandercock involved in most forward moves.

Tom Logan is certain to have an impact either on the ball or as a small forward. Cheer, Best: Borders – J. Baron, B. Keast, G. Hampton, F. Adams, M. Quinn, E. Holland. Stay up to date with your favourite teams through SportsTG's new App.

In key forward James Hinge they have a trump card, while their on-ball division led by Nick Gregurke and Jake McGrice is elite, and their unsung defence led by Lachie Duell and Tom Gaden is hard to crack. PADTHAWAY 14-16 100 OUTPLAYED PENOLA 10-10 70. Penola kicked clear again after half-time although not quite as prolifically as earlier but it appeared as though KLU had fired their best shot.

Kyby lacked the composure of earlier and KLU with more fire-power on the forward line hit the front and went onto win by 20 points but not without a few jitters! Mundulla then backed up last year to cause its own upset to win the flag over Keith. Hinge, L. Wiese, J. Dolling, N. Mosey, Best:  Nuriootpa – S. Patterson, D. Myall, B. Mitchell, J. Bettoncelli, W. Limbert, D. Albrecht. Bordertown – G. Twigden 3, S. Devitt 2, C. Sandercock 2, B. Foulds, N. Dahlitz. Kaniva Leeor – N. Murphy 4, C. Hitchcock 3, S. Snook 2, A. Kybybolite will travel to the coast looking for its first win of the year against Kingston, while Bordertown will host Naracoorte in what should be a competitive game. The Moots increased their lead at every change before winning easily by 44 points. Padthaway has the bye. The three quarter-time margin had extended to 34 points with no let up in sight fo KLU. Mundulla bottled up play in the dying seconds and players were jubilant on the siren with the scoreboard showing them as three point winners. Keith were hanging on tenaciously after three straight losses and whittled the margin back to seven points at the long break even though Dunstan and McDonough were bobbing up everywhere and George Johnson was a target up forward. Kingston – D. Richardson 3, C. Healy 2, R. Clarke, B. Kennedy, B. Warner, B. Simpson, T. Baker, S. Robertson, Best:  Bordertown – R. Tink, N. Dahlitz, L. Makin, J. Barras, J. Verco, J. Searle. Keith – W. McMurray, A. Dunstan, G. Johnson, T. Geyer, G. Thring, E. Dunstan. NARACOORTE 12-12 84 TIPPED OUT PENOLA 8-11 59. Kingston won a lack lustre game against fellow cellar dweller Bordertown by 30 points to ease away from wooden spoon status. Only four games are set down for decision in the KNTFL this weekend, with three sides sitting out the round with byes. Penola were in serious trouble but Naracoorte were not stopping to sniff the flowers and matched every move as both teams added 3 goals. KANIVA LEEOR UNITED 8-9 57 DEFEATED KEITH 6-10 46. KNT: there's no league like it! Goals: Naracoorte – S. Willson 5, B. Gould 4, C. Gill 2, N. Lacey, J. Gregg, C. Myall. Oldest Football Club in Country South Australia Established in 1865! Logan and Spriggs each booted 4 goals as Lucindale were now 30 points in front. Bordertown v Kingston will be a very competitive game, with both sides on two wins each and looking to lift themselves into the middle order of the ladder. Tweet. They seemed to sense that this may be their day when they booted five goals and maintained the pressure on Padthaway, not allowing their gun players in Harder, Raitt and Vandermeer to dominate.

Goals: Kingston – J. Fisher 6, T. Rogers 2, B. Kennedy 2, B. Warner 2, R. Clarke, J. Armfield , B. Simpson.
