And the setting is actually perfect - small town, dead end dreams, crappy lives... Could have been better and only ironicly funny. So möchte El Camino Christmas spürbar eine Art unkonventioneller und unangepasster Anti-Weihnachtsfilm sein, der dem Gefühl nach auch eher zufällig an den Feiertagen spielt, doch offenbaren sich eben an jeder Ecke vermeidbare Mängel und Patzer, die sich mal mehr, mal weniger leicht hätten vermeiden lassen und die das Filmerlebnis schlussendlich im absoluten Mittelmaß versanden lassen, dem dann auch das gewisse Star-Aufgebot nicht mehr helfen kann, das ohnehin zugegebenermaßen kaum aus der A-Riege der Hollywood-Größen stammt, sondern eher einem filmisch vielseitig interessierten Zuschauer in Gänze etwas sagt.
